Rail
Telematics and vehicle data for maintenance fleets – through to analysis for predictive maintenance –, test automation to CENELEC, vehicle electronics and retrofits. From 2027 maintenance delivery as ECM function 4.

Services
Between vehicle, workshop and control centre: data that creates availability.
- 01
Telematics systems, edge gateways and vehicle data
We bring telematics systems onto the vehicles – including existing fleets for which no interface documentation is left: reverse engineering of the vehicle systems, connection via CAN, MQTT and REST, real-time acquisition, analysis and visualisation of vehicle data, scalable dashboards, automated test systems, supplier coordination. This includes the electronics and electrical engineering on the vehicle: selection and integration of the telematics unit, connection to vehicle buses and sensors, retrofit concept. Reverse engineering is not limited to telematics: we apply it to any vehicle or workshop system that needs to be connected, reproduced or replaced.

Data analysis and predictive maintenance
The vehicle and machine data collected is not just displayed but analysed: data preparation, condition and availability KPIs, detection of anomalies and trends, data-driven support for maintenance planning – from condition-based to predictive.

Remote diagnostics and fleet tools
Tools for workshop and control centre: read fault memories remotely, compare states and alarms across the fleet, manage software versions and configurations, plan deployments on real data. Built on the telematics we help set up – as web interface, dashboard or interface to the existing maintenance system.

Cybersecurity for OT and rail
Connected vehicles and plants need protection that fits operations: threat analysis and zone concept to IEC 62443, secure development processes (IEC 62443-4-1, CRA readiness), hardening of gateways and telematics units, secure remote access and update paths. For railway applications along TS 50701 – pragmatic, verifiable, documented.

Test automation to CENELEC
Test automation architecture to EN 50126, system tests for ETCS Level 2 and above, smoke tests of the driver machine interface (DMI) to EN 50128 and EN 50159, hardware-in-the-loop. Prototypes that transfer to other test teams – interlocking, for instance.

ECM function 4 – maintenance delivery
In preparation · target 2027Maintenance delivery under EU Regulation 2019/779 – with a focus on electrical engineering: testing, repair and retrofitting of electrical and electronic vehicle systems, from the telematics unit to the controller. Certification is in preparation, target 2027; the exact scope is currently being defined. In the longer term we also support ECM and maintenance processes – from maintenance development to data-based planning. Those who talk to us early help shape it.
